Service Description

Barista Course Overview The Barista Class is a fast paced, 3-hour, job ready course in Cafe Operations and Specialty Coffee preparations. The “Live Training” course is presented through Zoom on location at Royston Coffee School where a commercial mobile cafe is set up with professional equipment, supplies and menu. The instruction is presented by Dyan Spink who has 20 years plus in the cafe industry from start up to award winning restaurant, cafe and coffee roasting businesses. Participants also learn the recipes and best practices of independent cafes as well as larger chain cafes. Course Content and Live Demos cover: • Greeting, Specialty Coffee ordering, Customer service, Food Safety • Operations of commercial 1 and 2 group espresso machines • Operations of commercial bean grinder, measuring, tamping, preparation and extraction time of espresso shots including proper presentation of espresso • Techniques, temperatures, foaming and milk textures, including alternative dairy options • Recipes, ratios, and preparing essential coffees, iced and specialty drinks -Espresso, Americano, Latte, Cappuccino, Mocha, Macchiato, London Fog, Chai Latte, Matcha, Frappuccino, Iced Coffee, and Italian Sodas • Cleaning, Sanitation and Equipment maintenance
